I’d like to share with
you a new book I just published titled How to GET A JOB
in a Tight Economy. The primary difference between my book and the 200 other “get
a job” books you can find on Amazon.com, is that my book provides
practical advice on ways to get ahead of others in the job hunt.
In early 2001 I, like
many of you, found myself in the job market for the first time in many
years. I realized that in this tight economy it was going to be very hard
to get a job. So I started a research project on the thing successful job
hunters were doing to get their jobs. I learned a great deal in my
research and by applying what I had learned, was able to find another job
relatively quickly. (at an increase in salary!)
Later, as I
talked to friends and colleagues who were still out of work, I realized
that in my research I had learned many things that would give them an edge
in their job searches as well. I started sharing my methods with them,
and they started getting jobs. Somewhere along the way, I decided I would
write a book that would document my findings and let me share those
findings with others in the job hunt.
